Gender Pay Gap from Translucent to Transparent

The pay imbalance between two genders has put a spotlight on Goldman Sachs. Goldman Sachs Group Inc. pays women in the U.K. an average of 56 percent less than male colleagues, which is far above the national average pay gap (18 percent), according to the Office for National Statistics.

The firm pledges to have women make up half its workforce in the future as currently 90% of the firm’s partners are men. There is still a long way to narrow down the gender disparity, however the increasing transparency would represent an improvement in the gender pay gap.
